About

Experience that connects
people, purpose and systems.

Dr Helen Wright is an educational leader, independent board member, governance consultant, executive coach and international speaker.

The perspective I bring

My career has moved from language teaching and school leadership into governance, organisational advisory work, coaching and thought leadership; the connecting thread has always been purposeful change.

I led high-achieving schools in the UK and Australia for more than thirteen years, alongside national education roles. Since 2014, I have built an international portfolio career across boards, professional bodies, schools, charities and education organisations.

This breadth allows me to move comfortably between the strategic and the human: to see the system, while remaining attentive to the people who must make it work.

Career in context

A deliberately connected portfolio.

Each part of my work informs the others. Board experience sharpens my strategic judgement; coaching deepens my understanding of leadership; education keeps the work grounded in purpose, learning and the future.

Executive education leadership

More than thirteen years leading schools in the UK and Australia, with wider sector leadership and inspection experience.

National and international influence

Senior association roles, international speaking, executive recruitment and advisory work across different education systems.

Boards and governance

Chair, non-executive and governance roles spanning international education, professional membership bodies, charities and growing organisations.

Coaching and leadership development

Executive coaching, team development, 360 feedback and psychometrics for senior leaders around the world.

Writing and thought leadership

Books, articles, blogs, webinars and keynote work exploring leadership, global competence, social mobility and purposeful organisations.

Professional foundations

Rigour with humanity.

My academic background includes study at the University of Oxford and a doctorate in education. I hold advanced qualifications in executive coaching and mentoring and am qualified to use Thomas International behavioural, emotional-intelligence, aptitude and 360-degree tools.

Qualifications matter because they create discipline; what clients experience is the combination of that discipline with warmth, curiosity, directness and practical judgement.

Content verification note

This prototype intentionally uses broad qualification wording. Exact degree titles, post-nominals, current appointments and professional accreditations should be checked immediately before launch.

Purposeful work begins with resonance.

I work where there is appetite for honest thinking, responsible leadership and meaningful progress.
